Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, in Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian artist and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of her best-known songs. Katy Perry's endorsement of her song Runaway via a blog post gave the artist some additional appreciation. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music was discovering a grand piano in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see its capabilities. Her parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a career or hobby but as a way to develop. The singer began to write songs of her own. In addition to Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. She began performing her music in public when her mother suggested that they might help others not to gain fame with her work, but instead help the people around them understand their importance and the ways they impact the world. She was suggested by her mother to sing her songs in public in order to make people aware of the importance of their work and how they could impact the world. Her family didn't be aware until 14. It was never a dream to become Aurora. The singer claims she is a fan of composing songs. According to her, the songs she creates are how she feels about everything.
